The art of wintering
We are excited to welcome you into ‘the creative hibernation, yoga and the art of wintering’ in the historic, family-run artist guesthouse Nutheim. Winter is the time for the earth to rest—and so must we. We will use yoga to down-regulate the nervous system, move away from rigid goal-oriented living, and land safely in quiet contemplation.
Welcome to grounding practices, movements of joy on the yoga mat and deep rest with the beautiful backdrop of Flatdal valley. Have fun and connect to your inner creativity guided by Solveig’s artistic hand in the workshop ‘art without judgement’. This is not about creating something, it is a tap into your inner lightness and having fun, forget about the todo list and use color and blank canvas to be in the moment.

The Venue - Where art meets Norwegian traditions
Nutheim Gjestgiveri is a historic, family-run boutique hotel located in Flatdal within Seljord Municipality, Norway. Famous for its deep roots in Norwegian art history, it is widely celebrated as the "artist hotel of Telemark" (kunstnarhotellet i Telemark). Changing art exhibitions featuring paintings, graphics, sculpture, and local crafts are presented across the property's dedicated basement and barn galleries, we will have our yoga practice in the beautiful barn gallery with a view to the valley of Flatdal. Located underneath the historic barn structure is a private wellness center featuring a sauna and an outdoor hot tub overlooking the Flatdal valley. The establishment has been awarded the prestigious Olavsrosa quality mark (Norwegian Heritage) for its excellence in preserving and promoting traditional Telemark culture and architectural history.
