All our malas are handmade with Rudraksha seeds, which has been used in meditation for centuries in Hindu culture. The Rudraksha seed comes from the Elaeocarpus ganitrus tree family, and is considered to have a healing effect benefiting the person wearing it, both health wise as well as its spiritual purpose.  Every mala contains 109 seeds as 108 is a sacred number which is often used in mantra chanting and meditation, the extra seed is used to mark that the circle of 108 is completed. It is completely natural without any conservation chemicals as it is said to weaken the healing powers of the seed. It is delivered in a small case handmade of lokta from the Himalayas.

Rudraksha seeds grows in a specific altitude is mainly found in the Himalayas in Nepal. They are said to create a cocoon of your own energy, protecting you from negative vibes. Traditionally used by sadhus and sanyasis as they were always on the move, helping them to strengthen their own personal vibrations. Rudraksha is known as Shivas tears and are recognized in Hindu culture to be sacred as they derive from Shiva, the most powerful God in Hinduism. The story goes that Shiva was sitting in the Himalayas in meditation, and the meditation was so beautiful that Shiva started to cry. His tears fell to the earth and became seeds that eventually grew to trees that today is known as Elaeocarpus ganitrus, where we find Rudraksha seeds.
